SENT ON BEHALF OF MICHELLE FRANKEL, CENTER DIRECTOR
Dear Friend,
Spring is finally returning, and so are millions of migrating birds who are returning to their northern summer homes. As this spring migration unfolds, the staff of Audubon Greenwich are doing a little migrating of our own! Led by Audubon's award-winning Senior Naturalist/Educator Ted Gilman, we will be fanning out across the region for an exciting one-day bird count called Bird-A-Thon on May 9th. We will spot as many species of birds as possible in one day (we hope to spot between 100-120 species), and secure pledges for each species we find. Please support our Bird-A-Thon to help Audubon Greenwich create healthier communities for both wildlife and people.
Each year, Audubon Greenwich educates over 6,000 students through standards-based school programs, provides over 8,000 adults and children with fun and informative public programs, and engages communities in protecting and improving habitat throughout the region.
Audubon needs your help to continue their critical work in our community! Bird-A-Thon offers a fun and simple way to support Audubon's conservation and education programs.
There are three ways you can contribute:
· You can click on this link and make your donation online (please write that you are supporting my birdathon in the message box): https://give.audubon.org/Giving/Page/75/1/75
· You can print the attached form and mail it in with your pledge or payment to Audubon Greenwich, 613 Riversville Road, Greenwich, CT 06831
· You can send an email to twitmer@audubon.org with Greenwich Audubon in the subject line to pledge a dollar amount per species sited. You will be notified about the total species sited after the Bird-A-Thon is over.
Thank you so much for supporting Audubon!
Happy Birding!
Michelle
