Our Fifth Awesome Tree Contest Starts Now!

 As   the  leaves begin falling from the trees,  focus your camera on a   favorite tree of yours, click, and send the photo to the Greenwich Tree   Conservancy's fifth Awesome Tree Contest. You   don't have to be a professional photographer, just someone who is wowed   by the particular shape of a particular tree and you can be a winner.   The categories for nominations of awesome trees are as follows:

A tree with an impressive sculptural form depicted in your own photograph
PHOTOGENIC LEAF OR LEAVES judged on photographic image
A photogenic leaf or cluster of leaves depicted in your own photograph or creative photographic treatment
FAVORITE TREE-INSPIRED TALE judged on story; please include photo
In 500 words or less, a tree that inspires—from a classic story or a personal experience
HEROIC TREE judged on story and photo
A tree that has beaten the odds, survived a storm, construction or other hardship
Entry forms for the contest are available below or from any of the following co-sponsors: the Town of Greenwich, Garden Education Center, Bruce Museum, Audubon Greenwich, Greenwich Land Trust, Greenwich Green and Clean, Greenwich Libraries & Perrot Library.
The deadline for submission of entry forms and photos is October 20, prizes for the winners in each category will be awarded on Sunday, November 9 at 3:00 PM at the Garden Education Center on Bible Street in Cos Cob.
