DID YOU KNOW? Last week the Connecticut Environment Committee voted yes on SB 443, a bill that will potentially ban genetically engineered grass and extended the K-8 pesticide ban to keep toxic pesticides off school grounds, playing fields, playgrounds, and parks to further protect the health of children from the effects harmful pesticides. But what about when the children are not at school? How can parents and homeowners provide a safe space on their own property for children and pets? Organic lawn care is the answer.*If a homeowner is seeking a landscape professional, search by zip code for a NOFA Accredited Organic Land Care Professional at www.organiclandcare.net/aolcp-search.
