Dear Green Schools reps,
Green Schools, in collaboration with the Conservation Commission, has an exciting celebration for Earth Day planned at Greenwich Point on Sunday, April 6th from 9 am - 4 pm. See below for a schedule of events and a listing of Wonders of Waters activities (also posted on Google Docs). Here are some ways that you can help make the event a success:
- Mark your calendars for April 6th and come with your family & friends to Greenwich Point for a fun-filled day! If you'd like to volunteers in some capacity, please let us know and/or attend the March 25th planning meeting.
- Post flyers on your school bulletin boards & at local businesses, libraries and community centers. The flyer is available on Green Schools Google Docs & is attached. If you would like multiple printed copies, please contact Julie (juliechamps@yahoo.com) to arrange a drop off time & location.
- Promote the event in your weekly news bulletins. Just submit the following blurb or create your own to spread the word:

- Arrange for a morning announcement to be made at your school to get students excited about the event. Here's a sample announcement you can use:
Celebrate Earth Day at Greenwich Point on Sunday, April 6th! Join local environmental groups to dig for oysters, clean up the beach, learn about the properties of water, explore marine life and much more for you and your family!
- Join us for an event planning meeting on March 25th at 10:45 after the regular Green Schools meeting and our guest speaker. We'll be joined by Aleks Moch of the Greenwich Conservation Commission.
